James Brogden is the author of Hekla’s Children, The Hollow Tree, The Plague Stones and Bone Harvest, along with The Narrows, Tourmaline and The Realt. He spent many years living in Australia, but now lives in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire with his wife and two daughters. His new novel, The Strandling, will be released on 1st September, 2024.
The Ravening is out in the same month, of course, so if it’s folk horror you’re after you can make it a double whammy! James was kind enough to read The Ravening, and this is what he has to say:
"Church weaves historical cult conspiracy, survival horror and dark fantasy into a compelling supernatural thriller that has a very real human evil at its core. He is fast becoming one of my favourite writers of dark fiction."
Many thanks, James – as ever, I’m hugely grateful.
Daniel :)
