Laird Barron is one of US horror’s most individual and distinctive voices. Over the past quarter century, he’s written in the fields of crime, horror, and the weird. His first collection, The Imago Sequence, arrived in 2007; his latest work, Not a Speck of Light (Stories), is slated for September, 2024. Between those points, he’s published several other collections, novels – including an excellent series of noirish, horror-tinged crime novels featuring hitman-turned-detective Isaiah Coleridge – and a host of short fiction and essays.
The Ravening is also coming out in September 2024, and Laird was kind enough to read it, and to provide a quote:
"Daniel Church delivers a hell of a read. The Ravening combines thriller and horror traditions perfectly."
Many thanks, Laird. I’m enormously grateful.
Daniel :)
