Like a lot of other people, I've left Twitter (or X, or as I've taken to calling it, Sh!tter) and have now set up an account on Bluesky. You can find me at @dannythechurch.bsky.social.
The second:
I’m bisexual. I realised this a little over a year ago. The first person I told was Mrs Church. Since then I’ve confided to a very small number of people; now I’m – for want of a better term – announcing it publicly.
I haven’t lived my life as openly queer, or faced the kind of prejudice or discrimination so many queer people have. I’ve never had a same-sex relationship. Nor is that likely to happen. I’m lucky enough to be in a monogamous relationship with a loving and supportive partner, and that’s what matters most to me.
Nonetheless, this is who I am, and so I’m saying it. Given the way things are going in the US, and likely here in the UK before much longer, it seemed necessary to stand up and be counted, if that makes sense.
If you have a problem with any of the above, then you know where the door is.
