Whew!
It's been way too long since I blogged here. (Blows cobwebs off the website.)
I've never been as good as I'd like to be about this kind of thing, but here I am again. The last year and a half has been a fairly wild ride, in the best possible way, and I'll try and talk a bit more about that soon, as well as what's to come.
Anyway, in the meantime, anyone who'd like to encounter me in the (all-too-solid) flesh can do so in just under a fortnight's time, at Edge-Lit 9 at Derby QUAD.
Edge-Lit is a great little convention for SFF/H writers, and this year's attendees will include Jeremy Dyson (The League of Gentlemen,) Christopher Priest (The Prestige,) Alexandra Benedict (The Christmas Murder Game,) Stephen Volk (Ghostwatch, Gothic and Afterlife) and Catriona Ward (The Last House on Needless Street, Sundial.) And many many others.
Have a look here for full details.
I'll be on a couple of panels there, taking part in Setting the Stage: How important is the concept of location in literature? with Alexandra Benedict, Adam Simcox, TL Huchu, Lucy Holland and Ed McDonald and chairing Gen(re) X: Why does genre fiction crossover so well with crime? with Catriona Ward, Jonathan Sims, Adam Simcox, CK McDonnell and TL Huchu.
I'm really excited, and I think this is going to be a lot of fun. Hope to see some of you there.
Daniel. :)
