So it turns out there are several Daniel Churches out there. Which one am I?
Well, one of them’s a footballer who plays for Queen of the South, so I don’t think there’s much chance of my being mistaken for him. On the other there are two or three writers of the same name, so a bit of clarification’s in order.
There’s a Daniel Church who wrote an urban fantasy novel called Rain Boys back in 2007. Which sounds like it could be an interesting book, but I didn’t write it.
There’s also a Daniel Church who published The Book of Gled: Quotes of a Genius in 2021. I
have absolutely no idea what this one is about, as Goodreads and Amazon seem to give precious little information on it. And also, of course, but I didn’t write that one either…
Goodreads, however, thinks I wrote of the above, and also a book by yet another Daniel Church called Winter Games, which appeared about a month after The Hollows was first published. This VERY DEFINITELY isn’t me: I feel the need to make that clear because it seems to be some kind of conspiracy thriller that claims climate change is a myth.
Those are not my views, but as Goodreads has me down as the author, i’d better state unequivocally that I’m not. This Daniel Church who wrote The Hollows has had that novel published, and no others.
For now, at least; I hope to have some news on that front soon.
